STIX

NASHVILLE

The Stix sculpture at the 8th Ave and Korean Veterans Blvd roundabout is one of Nashville’s most recognizable art installations. It was installed by the Metro Arts Commission in the fall of 2015, and they contracted Greathouse to enhance and maintain this space. The piece was created by artist Christian Moeller, who also has public art installations in Singapore, London, and Seattle. We planted 21,000 bulbs, 11,700 native ornamental grasses, and 5,600 perennials to complement the art installation and transform this space into what Nashvillians see today.
